The 10-Minute Evening Kitchen Reset
A kitchen that looks clean at night makes the whole next morning easier. You do not need an hour. You need ten minutes and a simple order of operations.
Start with the sink
Clear every dish out of the sink first. Rinse what needs rinsing, load the dishwasher, and hand wash what is left. An empty sink makes the whole room feel tidier right away, and it is the spot that piles up fastest if you skip a night.

Wipe the surfaces from top to bottom
Spray a little all-purpose cleaner on a damp cloth and wipe the counters, working from the back edge toward you. Move small appliances, wipe under them, and set them back. Do the stovetop last, since that is where grease and crumbs collect. Always follow the directions on the product label, and never mix cleaning products together.

Give the floor a quick pass
A dry microfiber mop or a broom takes about two minutes. Focus on the area in front of the stove, the sink and the trash can. Those spots get the most traffic and the most drips.

Finish with the small things
Take out the trash if it is more than half full. Hang up the dish towel so it dries overnight. Wipe the faucet handles and the fridge door handle, since those get touched all day long.
Make it a habit
Pick a time you can repeat, like right after dinner. Put on a playlist or a podcast and keep going until the timer ends. Ten minutes a night adds up, and it keeps your deeper weekend clean from turning into a marathon.
Some weeks are simply too full for even ten minutes. If you would rather hand the big clean to someone else, we are happy to help. You can book a cleaning any time at dfwmagicalmaids.com.
